MET Master Lecture on Deep Learning by Oriol Vinyals

ETSETB TelecomBCN and Barcelona Supercomputing Center have organised an open lecture in the framework of the Deep Learning for Artificial Intelligence course of Master MET and the Severo Ochoa Research Seminars. The lecture will be taught by Oriol Vinyals, ETSETB alumnus and currently a research scientist at Google Deepmind. The lecture will also include a prologue by Yannis Kalantidis from Facebook Research.

Xerrada: Experimental Human-Centered Robotics, a càrrec de Luis Sentis

Luis Sentis is an Associate Professor in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin and co-founder of Apptronik Systems. He received Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and was a La Caixa Foundation Fellow. His B.S. degree is from UPC's ETSETB. He worked in Silicon Valley in the high-tech sector leading R&D projects in clean room automation. In Austin, he leads the Human Centered Robotics Laboratory, an experimental facility focusing on control and embodiment of humanoid robots. He writes extensively and teaches courses in areas related to realtime control of human-centered robots, design of high performance humanoid robots, and safety protocols in robotics. He was awarded the NASA Elite Team Award for his contributions to NASA’s Johnson Space Center Software Robotics and Simulation Division. He has been a speaker in popular events such as SXSW and Hot Science - Cool Talks. Luis is co-chair for the ASTM International Standards Committee of Exoskeletons and Exosuits and serves as an advisor for the UT System Federal Office National Security Advisory Group.

Xerrada: Les tasques del Departament de Control Central i Tràfic de TV3, a càrrec del Sr. Albert Bargalló

El 22 de novembre de 2017 el Sr. Albert Bargallo, Responsable del Departament Control Central i Tràfic, impartirà una xerrada sobre les tasques que es desenvolupen en aquest departament de TV3 amb l'objecte d'incorporar estudiants de l'ETSETB en pràctiques.

El pròxim 24 de novembre a les 13.15h alguns representants de les Écoles Centrales Franceses faran una presentació per als/les estudiants de la UPC, (ETSECCPB, ETSETB, ETSEIB, FIB) que estiguin interessats en estudiar a Escoles d'Enginyeria de França.

Mobilitat: Reunió informativa sobre el programa de mobilitat UNITECH'2018-2019

UNITECH és una xarxa d'universitats associades europees ("Associats Acadèmics" o AP), juntament amb algunes empreses associades ("Partners corporatius" o CP). En aquesta xarxa, alguns estudiants d'aquestes universitats associades participen en el programa UNITECH. Consisteix en: Fer un intercanvi acadèmic en una AP. Després, fer una pràctica en un CP i seguir alguns mòduls específics entre aquestes estades.
