Inclusion at the ETSETB
UPC is committed to ensuring the inclusion of individuals. Especially by supporting students with educational support needs (ESN), due to disability or special educational needs. The Inclusion Office assists students with physical, visual, hearing, multiple disabilities, developmental disorders (dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, ASD), mental health disorders, chronic or acute illnesses. It also provides services for psychological well-being to promote good emotional and mental health. More information
We are part of the University Pathway program of the Vives Network of Universities. University Pathway is a program that aims to generate rigorous, objective, and comprehensive information about the living conditions and forms of involvement with the study of university students. Through a survey of all students, the program creates a solid knowledge base that provides relevant information about university life in the territory of the Vives Network of Universities. This knowledge serves to guide improvement proposals in university policies, as well as to provide a basis for decisions and orientations of policies, both of the universities themselves and of public decision-makers.

Academic Adaptation
In ETSETB, the responsible for the Inclusion Program is Professor Xavier Muñoz. In case the student considers that they are in a situation that requires academic adaptation in the school studies, the following steps must be followed.
Procedure for requesting academic adaptation at ETSETB:
-
Students with educational support needs requiring teaching adaptations must fill out a request form and attach the supporting documentation (as indicated in the previous link). Then, an interview will be held to assess their needs.
-
The Office will assess the student's case and decide if they are entitled to this adaptation and what it will consist of.
-
The Office will inform the inclusion officer at ETSETB.
-
The head of the corresponding degree will assign a tutor/professor from the School who will be the link and voice of the student to contact the subject teachers every semester to carry out the corresponding academic adaptation. They will also advise the student in the enrollment of each semester, if necessary.
-
For doubts and clarifications, you can contact Professor Xavier Muñoz, the inclusion officer at ETSETB: subdir.estudiantat@etsetb.upc.edu.
