Departments Teaching at ETSETB

Department of Signal Theory and Communications at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) conducts research and teaching in the field of theory, technology, and engineering of telecommunications and their applications

Department of Electronic Engineering
at UPC was created in 1987 within the framework of the LRU. It carries out education, research, and development activities in the areas of Telecommunications, Industrial Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Bioengineering.

Department of Mathematics at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) carries out teaching and research functions in scientific and technical fields in the area of Applied Mathematics.

Department of Telematics Engineering
teaches in the area of Telematics at ETSETB, EPSC, and EPSEVG. It organizes its research activity into three research lines: Wireless Communications; Design and Evaluation of Broadband Networks and Services; and Telematic Services.

Department of Physics teaches the physical foundations of engineering and architecture, and maintains a continuous offering of elective and optional subjects in areas of its expertise. Research is framed within the fields of Physics, Mathematics, and Engineering.

Department of Computer Architecture is responsible for teaching computer structure and organization, computer architecture, operating systems, computer networks, computer evaluation, and VLSI design. The DAC currently maintains five independent research groups.

Department of Business Organization teaches in most UPC centers. Its members participate in various UPC research groups.

Department of Engineering Projects
is integrated by two areas of knowledge: the engineering projects area and the English area. The area of English Philology aims to teach and research English for specific purposes, applied linguistics, technology and culture, and North American studies.
