Considerations about your Cybersecurity at School
We want your digital experience at the School to be smooth and secure. This is how we protect you:
-
Wi-Fi UPC : The School network encrypts your data. Always use the official network and avoid sharing sensitive data if you use mobile data or external Wi-Fi.
-
We make backup copies of the School's servers. However, we recommend that you always have your own.
-
UPClink gives you access to the internal resources of the UPC Network when you are outside the UPC, from any location. Access easily by installing the VPN client and with the same credentials as the UPC Intranets (Documentation to connect to UPClink)
-
We will never ask you for your password by email. If you receive an urgent email asking for your data, be suspicious!
Your digital survival kit:
- Single Digital Identity : A single secure access for all services (library, intranet, mail) with (2FA). Never share your password!
- Setting up two-factor authentication (2FA)
- Malware detection
- Safety recommendations for students
- Phishing Detection: We block thousands of fraudulent emails a day, but if you see something suspicious, let us know.
- Technical Support: The ICT Services team is here to help you, utic.telecos@upc.edu
