Remote connection service to the computers in the Electronics laboratories of the Telecos School C4/C5
BROKER Telecos is a remote connection service to the computers in the Electronics laboratories of the Telecos School.
Some of the PCs from the C4/C5 Electronics lab are available.
This service allows you to connect to the computers of Electronics Laboratories of the School from a remote location (computer/laptop with Internet access) outside of school hours and use all the teaching software which is installed in computer labs. The software runs on the remote computer in the lab independently of the device from which the connection is made.
Access to the service
- Make sure that the classroom does not have face-to-face classes.
- Connect to UPClink (in case you are outside the UPC)
- Access the service from BROKER Telecos.
Attention!
To disconnect the remote computer's operating system must be shut down: go to the Windows Start button on the remote desktop: Start -> Power button -> Shutdown.
If you close the remote desktop window the computer will also shut down.
Remember that any files left on the remote computer outside of the personal drive (P:) will be lost once the session ends.
Service features
- Identification with UPC credentials (username and password) (first name.last name).
- Connection from outside the UPC through UPClink.
- 70 computers in computer labs C4 and C5 available for remote desktop connection.
- The computers are available from 9:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, weekends, holidays, and UPC closing days.
- Availability of all teaching software installed in the computer labs.
- Programs may be installed on the computer as long as they do not require rights. administrator (ATTENTION, the installation will be lost when restarting or turning off the computer).
Terms of use of the service*
- In order to guarantee the proper functioning of the remote desktop connection, it is necessary to have an Internet connection with a minimum speed of 100 Mbps.
- The computer's operating system must be turned off once we have finished using it (Windows Start--> Power --> Shutdown).
- If from Monday to Friday a user is using a computer remotely before 8:00, they will be notified and disconnected 15 minutes before the opening of the classrooms.
* The user will be responsible for the use of the service in accordance with its terms of use. In the event of a violation of these conditions of use, the School reserves the right to limit the use or terminate the user's use of the service with prior notice.
