A. Students on the master's degree in Cybersecurity
If you are taking the master's degree in Cybersecurity, you will find the procedure here: Procedure for master's degree in Cybersecurity students.
B. Students on other degrees
For students on other degrees, the procedure is the following:
1. Secure a placement destination.
2. Apply for financial aid (if applicable).
If you are eligible for financial aid, you must apply before the deadlines. You may need to apply well before the learning agreement. Information is available in the Documents before departure section.
3. Manage the learning agreement based on the type of stay (prior to departure).

4. Obtain a digital certificate for signing credentials and financial agreements (prior to departure).
There are a range of digital certificates:
- DNIe certificate. To sign, look at the subsections "Cambiar PIN", "Verificar que funciona" and "Qué hace falta para utilizarlo"", in the section "Cómo utilizar el DNI", by clicking on the following link: https://www.dnielectronico.es/PortalDNIe/. You need a DNIe reader.
- The Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre certificate (FNMT - see here)

5. Prepare UPC enrolment and follow the appropriate procedure (prior to departure).
6. Enrol at the UPC / Compulsory Oncampus insurance (prior to departure).
You must enrol before departure (after completing the step in point 4).
Oncampus insurance. You must have Oncampus insurance before departure. There are two options: it can be included in your enrolment fee or, if you leave before enrolling or are going to the USA or Canada, follow the instructions in: Documents before departure (under "Compulsory Oncampus insurance").
The compulsory insurance policy is non-refundable if you later withdraw (see point 3 regarding the withdrawal deadline). For annual enrolment, insurance charges are included in the autumn enrolment.
7. Submit documents to the UPC.
